Support BIANYS when you search the web or shop online

Support Groups

Support groups provide friendship, information, a problem-solving forum, personal growth opportunities, and the chance to remember that you are are not alone.

Over the past year, BIANYS and a group of support group leaders worked to improve the affiliation process with BIANYS, strenthen the link between BIANYS and groups, and provide greater protection to group leaders and members.

We now have an updated BIANYS Support Group Guidebook, as well as a new process for affiliating groups with BIANYS. Going forward, only BIANYS-affiliated support groups will be listed on the site.

If you would like to start a BIANYS-affiliated support group, please review the BIANYS Support Group Guidebook. BIANYS is in the process of implementing background checks for all support group leaders and requires leaders to return the following paperwork to become an affiliated group: Affiliation Agreement for Individuals or Organizations, Support Group Leader Application, Volunteer Code of Conduct.

Search the BIANYS Support Group Database

To search for all groups in an area, leave the area for "Name of Group" blank, and choose a region from the "Area Served" drop-down menu, then click "Search".

Note: region descriptions can be subjective. Please check close regions if you do not see a support group in your area.
